THE LOVE OF JESUS

The love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 2 Corinthians 5:14 Christ as our substitute and representative died in our stead. When Christ was flogged at the whipping post, he took my punishment; and my diseases and weaknesses were laid upon him. He took our sins and guilt and broke the grip and power of sin over us. He destroyed the power of sin. He destroyed the power of Satan and death over us. He stood in our stead as substitute.

When Jesus died on the cross, I died! So did all true believers in Christ. We died to sin and all its woes. We died to the works of the flesh. Sin shall have no more grip or hold upon me and you. He hung on the cross carrying the sin of all mankind, right from Adam and Eve, including that of Mary his mother, till the last baby ever to be born in human history. What a great feat! Thanks be to God.

We have been set free. Sin has no more dominion over us. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. It is relatively quite easy for a person to suffer or even to die for a well behaved and kind person in the community. It is difficult to do so for a wicked and hardened criminal. But God demonstrated his love to us all in that while we were yet sinners; in the most despeakable and repulsive state, he sent his Son Jesus Christ to die for us.

(Romans 5: 6-8).

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16).

God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that through him the world might be saved. (John 3:17).

Truly, Jesus Christ died over two thousand years ago for the sin of mankind. It was very necessary and inevitable that the anger of the Holy and just God be pacified. His eyes are too holy to behold sin. Therefore God took the bold initiative to effect reconciliation between himself, who was offended, and mankind, who are the offenders!

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up, that anyone who believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

(John 3:14-15).

Jesus Christ offered himself as the sacrifice. He was arrested and he went through series of unjust trials before the religious leaders of his days, king Herod and Pilate, the governor. He was assaulted, slapped, flogged and spat upon.

That was to fulfil the prophecy: Surely he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows, yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:4-6).

Jesus was crucified on a rugged cross, where his blood was shed by piercings through his hands, feet and ribcage. Earlier on, his brow was severely bruised with a crown of thorns! His entire look was marred beyond recognition! Such was the treatment meted out to the Saviour of the world. Despite all the cruel treatment, Jesus did not complain, neither did he resist the maltreatment. “As a sheep is dumb before her shearers, he did not open his mouth.”

So did Jesus go all the way to die on the cross for my sins and those of the rest of mankind. Thanks be to God.

The conclusion of the message is that: Jesus died on the cross. His shed blood washes us clean from sin. He was buried in a borrowed tomb. The third day he arose from the grave and remains alive for evermore. “The taste of the pudding is in the eating.” Jesus Christ, who never sinned, became sin; died for you and me in our stead.

If you shall confess Jesus as Lord with your mouth, and shall believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.

For with your heart you believe and are made righteous. And with your mouth you confess and you are saved.

The LORD makes good his promises to all those who come to him, even those who call upon him. Whether young or old, whether Jew or gentile, whether rich or poor. There is no discrimination. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:8-13).

Come to Jesus today. Call upon him now.

HAPPY NEW YEAR: 2015 YEAR OF DIVINE FAVOUR

Happy New Year to all Friends. The LORD has been greatly good and loving. Let us give him thanks for life, health, saving grace, peace, joy in the Holy Ghost and the great hope of greater blessings in 2015. You know what? Hope that is seen is not true hope. Our great confidence in God to make all things work best for us, takes off all anxieties. This year, for you and us, God will do more than we can ask or imagine. He will do exceedingly great things. God will do it for us even if he has to create it anew! Let us look up to him, with whom nothing is too hard nor impossible. God said; Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. [Isaiah 41:10]. God sent Archangel Gabriel who said to the virgin Mary; The Holy Ghost shall come upon you and the power of the Most High shall overshadow you. The holy child you shall give birth to shall be called the Son of God. Your cousin Elisabeth, as old as she is, at 60 years; she who was called barren; is now carrying a son in her womb for the past six months. With God nothing shall be impossible.[Luke 1:35-37]. Mary surrendered herself to God. She spoke; Behold [Look at me/ Here am I/ I submit myself to be used of God]. Let your words spoken to me come true[May it be to me as you have said]. That was when Mary became pregnant, because she accepted the will of God.
Much earlier on, in the days of Abraham, God spoke concerning the promised son called Isaac, to be born contrary to human biology and expectations. At ages 89 and 99 years by Sarah and Abraham respectively, Sarah laughed, considering her old age. God positively challenged and encouraged her. Sarah, out of fear denied laughing. However, God insisted that she did laugh. Isaac’s name means LAUGHTER. It was important for Sarah to laugh, not on a negative note, but positively, in expectation of the promise of God. Sarah’s sorrows and mourning were turned into joy and dancing. Her tears and weepings were turned into smiles and laughter. God had maintained his good position by saying; Is anything too hard for the LORD? I will return to you at the appointed time next year and Sarah will have a son. [Genesis 18:13-15]. Truly, at ages 90 and 100 years respectively, Sarah and Abraham had a son called Isaac. [Genesis 21:1-6]. God speaks to PERSONS in our midst and ALL those who truly commit their lives to Jesus Christ that “This year 2015, all mournings shall be turned into dancing, in Jesus name. All sackcloths shall be replaced with joy, in the name of Jesus. All diseases and sicknesses shall be healed; and all stubborn causative agents of chronic problems shall be uprooted and burnt to the roots, in the name of Jesus. Windows and Doors of prosperity shall be opened. Abandoned tasks and projects shall be resumed and completed in the name of Jesus. Anyone who does not want to see your goodness shall be blinded by the glorious light of your blessings and promotions, in Jesus name. In special cases, God shall do CREATIVE MIRACLES in the lives of some; and the glory of God in their lives shall be unstoppable, in Jesus name. Blessings of fruit of the womb shall be many. Receive your miracle sons and daughters in Jesus name. Favour shall come to you from persons and places where you have been insulted, cheated, despised and discriminated against in the past. There shall be family restorations and reconciliations in the name of Jesus. Marriages shall be restored; all through the power of Jesus name. Praise the name of the LORD. Hallelujah! Amen.
Keep yourselves in the love of God. Submit yourselves one to another, in the fear of God. Earnestly uphold the Biblical standard of heterosexual marriage as given by God. Do not refuse your spouse sexual intimacy. Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. [Jude 21; Ephesians 5:21; 1 Corinthians 7:1-5; Hebrews 13:4]. Grace be with you in Jesus name.Amen.

CAN HOMOSEXUALITY BE HEALED BY GOD? Part 2

Last month we posted the first part in a series of articles on the now sensitive topic of homosexuality.We assert that homosexuality is definitely a deviation from the normal, natural and old tradition of heterosexuality,as originally made by God Almighty.We uphold the conviction that God is willing, ready and able to heal and set free all those in any degree of homosexual inclination or relationship.We also know that no homosexual habit is inheritable!A homosexual man or lesbian lady cannot transmit his or her practice or behaviour through natural or biological inheritance.Traits or characteristics can only be transmitted when a man and a woman come together for procreation in a normal heterosexual relationship.Come to think of the new practice of making babies via surrogate mothers or fathers.It is self-deception that a rich and influential lady who chooses to be a lesbian goes to have babies via In-vitro Fertilization(IVF),making use of the sperm cells of a man. Similarly a rich man who elects to have babies by having his sperm cells introduced via IVF,into a willing surrogate mother,who donates her ovum and who after a nine month pregnancy plus a short period of maternal care, releases her baby to a homosexual male couple? In other procedures,sex cells from separate male and female persons have been brought together with the resultant zygote introduced into the womb of a surrogate mother, who allows her womb to be used for the development of the foetus.That has been used to help heterosexual couples who have problems with pregnancies. It is not right for homosexual couples to adopt this method. It is the peak of utter ridicule and self-deception! Why not stick to their chosen form of sexual orientation. If later on they choose to have babies, then they should repent and reject homosexuality entirely!They should not try to eat their cakes and have them at the same time! Modern society may legalize various forms of absurdities, but legalism or modernity cannot successfully naturalize all those deceptions outlined above, which run contrary to the plan and counsel of God Almighty, our Maker! Anatomical and physiological abnormalities are not the works of nature, but the effects of the stubborn, defiant manipulations of nature my human beings, under the guise of experimentations and some via geniune mistakes of drug abuses! Incomplete cleavages during gestation, have been known to produce physical deformities.There is only one human calamity and that calamity is sin! The practice and experience of sin have made human kind live in rebellion to God our Maker. This negative stance has brought many problems to human society today. We talk of global warming, green house effects, pollutions of various kinds, and the race for nuclear power. All these are on-going in the midst of glaring poverty in most parts of the world. There is the problem of deforestation and the massive ecological disasters in our world today. Many poor countries of the world have found their shores being inundated with poisonous industrial wastes from the developed countries.The distruption of the ecosystem in the poor nations eventually have a cyclic effect on the so-called perpetrators of these ecological crimes! Do these affect sexuality? Knowingly or otherwise, the long term effects of distruption of our ecosystems is capable of producing various traits in human beings who are less capable of mounting lasting resistance.Congenital deformities have been reported in few individuals. Some of these have been found to develop sexual deformities. There have been cases of siamese twins which have been separated with some aspects of corrective surgeries. There have been cases of other forms of corrective surgeries on the palate, ear, face, heart and some other parts of the human body. This is also true for domesticated animals.Certainly, not all of these have inheritable traits. It is our firm belief that none of all the forms of homosexual life syle is hereditary.We challenge anyone to prove otherwise!Human manipulations have created distortions about sexuality and sexual orientations in this 21st Century world. Dear friend, if you are willing and obedient,God is ready now to set you free from your present homosexual life style. Mark you,we do not condemn you. If you insist on your present life style,you would only have yourself to blame at the end. The whole counsel of God Almighty forbids homosexuality totally;no half measures.Anyone,group,community,society,civilization,generation,religion or government which condones homosexuality is working against God! (Deuteronomy 23:17;Leviticus 18:22; 20:13;Romans 1:18-32). It was the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah; two great cities in earliest centuries,which practised homosexuality,for which God destroyed them! How then can you or your homosexual friend or family member be set free from the strong grip of the chronic problem? Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.Homosexuality is an anti-God life style.Therefore it is a sin.Adultery,lying,theft,pride,racial discrimination,tyranny and such like are all sins.It is no worse sin than other sins.God says: Look unto me,and be ye saved,all the ends of the earth:for I am God and there is none else Isaiah 45:22. God is angry at all sins.This same God loves all sinners.Jesus Christ said:For God did not send his Son into this world to condemn it,but that through him the world might be saved (John 3:17). Special prayers can be prayed for you if you are willing and ready today.Please, get in touch with us.
